In June all Ribble Valley primary school’s year 6 pupils were invited to create artwork showing what “Cycling in the Ribble Valley” meant to them.
112 children entered, creating imaginative images and 24 special designs were chosen to feature on vinyl banners to decorate the Ribble Valley Cycling Festival in 2015 and beyond.
The Ribble Valley Cycling Development Group’s overall winner of the “Cycling In The Ribble Valley” competition was Emma Lewis from Salesbury Primary School. Emma was awarded a framed print of her winning entry and a new bike - which we donated. Ian (big boss) said:
"the Ribble Valley is a fantastic place to ride your bike, all the entrants in this competition reflected this. Emma and the other winners should be proud of their efforts and I look forward to seeing them on display at cycle related events."
We were absolutely delighted to support this competition, in association with CTC The Cycling Charity; as it seeks to promote cycling in this area.
All 24 winning designs are on display at our showroom at Unit 1 North St, Clitheroe.
